Flexible. Practical. Designed for Working Nurses.

Start on Your Schedule

The didactic portion is fully asynchronous. You can move through the material at your own pace, on your own time, from anywhere.

Hands-On Skills Training That Works Around You

When you’ve completed the asynchronous portion, you’ll be eligible to sign up for the in-person skills session. Live clinical sessions are held monthly on Saturdays or Sundays in the Anaheim, CA area.

All training is instructor-led and conducted using simulation equipment such as mannequins and IV practice arms. In accordance with California LVN requirements, students also practice venipuncture and IV insertion on one another under supervision.

Please note: this is a skills lab experience only—students do not perform IV insertions on facility patients.

For example, in Orange County, we offer weekend sessions (typically Saturdays and Sundays), which work well for those with weekday commitments. Availability varies by location, and we’ll coordinate with you individually once you’re ready to schedule.

    View Detailed Requirements Below

REQUIREMENTS:

The state of California requires each LVN student to perform three (3) live venipunctures in addition to multiple finger sticks on fellow students as part of practical training. Participation in hands-on testing with fellow LVN students is mandatory. This requirement is optional for RN students.

All safety protocols, procedures, and potential complications are thoroughly reviewed prior to any hands-on practice.

A waiver must be signed prior to participation. If a student is unable to receive a live stick for any reason, a proxy may be brought in their place to fulfill this portion of the training. However, if more than one student is present, IV Experts will inform participants that a proxy is unnecessary, and students will instead perform live sticks on one another under supervision.

If you cannot be stuck & you do not have access to a proxy, you will not be able to participate in the live stick portion of the course, which will result in non-certification.

LVNs with valid VN #'s will be issued an IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certificate upon successful completion of this course. LVNs w/ pending numbers or students will receive a temporary certificate of completion that may be shown to current or potential employers as proof of course completion. These students must provide IV Experts with/ a valid VN #. All State paperwork will be sent to the BVNPT by IV Experts on the student's behalf upon successful course completion. Student will receive the original documents and certificate for their records.

Medical release: A medical release from your physician is required if you are pregnant or have any other medical condition that would prevent you from participating in the live testing portion of this course.

Please wear closed-toed shoes for the clinical portion
